Picture Of The Month: Traffic Police & Cell Phones

Photo by Waheed Zuberi. I spotted this on Pakistaniat where Owais Mughal took to poetry to capture the essence of the moment. Whether you find this amusing or a blatant misbuse of cell phone, this is how life moves on in places where cell phones go from almost zero to near 80 milion in few years.Â

nahi teri post kisi bhi trafiic chowki per
tu tulla hey khara reh signal ke aghoosh per…

wat a picture !
it shows the importance of cell phones n shows where the stolen or snatched phones gone…
I don’t understand the conflict of interest that is being purported here. Sure, he is a traffic policeman and he is using a cell phone. If that is seriously impairing his ability to do his job, then I could see it as being a legitimate concern or issue, however this picture does not show that in any conclusive manner. He is simply using a cell phone which is not a violation of any laws.
Additionally, I find the fact that you mention the rapid growth of cell phones as an pseudo-explanation for him owning one somewhat condescending and demeaning.
Asad Imran: Your fallacious argument suggesting that a policeman could not obtain a cell phone through legitimate legal means is more representative of your inadequacies than the policeman’s.
Other than that, I enjoy reading this blog — lots of great information here!
