We&#039;ve been thinking in a similar direction with socialbridges but while blogging becomes more interesting as a discussion medium, its also becoming increasingly irrelevant in my view.

Having discussions in a public online format doesn&#039;t decide the quality or seriousness of the people who discuss things there. By seriousness I dont mean the insights shared in the comments but are people even willing to do something about the issues discussed.

These days I&#039;m looking at the local blogosphere and increasingly find myself thinking &quot;I wish these people would be more serious about these things - they could actually make a difference&quot; or &quot;I wish these opinions were not so clearly biased to the extent that the other pov doesnt even have space here to grow&quot;.


Be a bit careful about feeling too strongly about making a practical difference.... it can hurt if no one else around you wants to do follow along.


Would be great to hear your ideas too - send me an email and we can brainstorm.</description>
