Braintel Service Is Back – Note The Changes
Please note the changes mentioned below, as posted on the Braintel website. All Braintel users, please test this beta release and share your feedback on the newly introduced “extra step” which is needed to complete the outgoing call. I am thankful that the service is functional and will monitor it over the next few days for issues, quality and performance.
We are please to inform you that the service has been fully functional now as of 8th Sep 2008 (2:40pm PKT Daylight ). To avoid misuse of our service by grey service provider, we have made a small amendment in the service. We are introducing Computer Assisted Dialing system (CAD) that will help us to overcome the misuse of our service.
In CAD system you have to dial your destination number just the way you used to dial before 4th August 2008; after dialing your destination number press # key and wait for few sec and then simply hang-up the line; your phone will ring back within 45sec and you’ll be hooked with your dialed number.
If the destination number is busy, conventionally you have to try again and again, in CAD system you don’t have to dial again and again but our CAD system will do the rest, just the way a private secretary or your company’s telephone operator make the call on your behalf.
CAD system is new and unique; you may experience some intermittent disconnections during its beta testing.

In the last one week I am unable to use PAP2 device. When I use the software SIP (eyeBeam) I am able to use barintel. The worst part is that I can no longer talk with cutomer service for more than 20 seconds before the line goes dead. Anyone has any ideas how to get the PAP2 to work. Yes, I have changed the 210xxxx to 1001xxxx several months back and everything was ok as ok it could be with BrainsTe until last 7 days!!!

Braintel is up and running once again, this time with call back service with local charges as before. I just talked to customer service and they suggested to go to my PAP2 device and change the service id and auth id to 1001XXXX in place of 210XXXX but number remains the same for callers from outside i.e. 210xxxx

i am unable to receive or make call for the last week……….
Wot the hell goes wrong with Brain tell services after every 4,6months……..

I AM SURPRISED THAT THEY HAVE CHANGED THE NUMBER FROM PAKISTAN SECTOR TO ENGLAND SECTOR WITHOUT INFORMING THE CUSTOMER. MEANWHILE THEY ARE BILLING EXTRA HIGH RATES WITHOUT INFORMING TO THE USERS. NO RESPONSE FROM ANY END.
This has been the worst customer service experience ever.
They cancelled the service, didn’t tell their customers, and are still charging me monthly.
I tried calling them to find out what happened but no one answers their phones.
Service is apparently back up, but the phone doesn’t work.
I wish there was someone i could choke at this point.
Since last 25 days Braintel service to Pakistan is down and strangly Braintel staff/ Management has not even bothered to advise the users about the problem thay had with
Braintel service is gone … as Anis mentioned.
Just wanted to know how long is it going to take for the telephones to work .So if you can let us know what will be the next step.
Braintel Licence has been cancelled by PTA, services are no more available
Braintel’s service is really cheap in price and Im afraid in quality too. always on and off. Sound quality…distortion…
Whats wrong with all Pakistani institutions …. why they cant improve as compared to rest of the world.
I tried with new beta service it is not working any way, brain tel should improve the system otherwise everybody is going to withdraw from this service.
The quality of service is worst the ever before. Mostly the CAD system wont call back and if it does there is so much distortion that you cant hear anything or get disconnected. Voice quality goes better near midnight. I agree with the idea but disagree that its a good step for braintel. After working in this field for so long they should have come with a proper solution for customers but once again they provded it they cant handle there services properly.
Quite a brillant idea of chaging for calls which are actually incoming :) This way PTA will never find out that actually the calls made were actually the incoming calls.
