Judging from this special offer of 100 free minutes and 100 free SMS, Telenor has launched a push to target the consumers who have been inactive in the last 3 months or so. This is indicative of a common problem in emerging telecom markets: people buy a subsidised SIM but do not actively use it, which causes the ARPU to dip and the ROI for the mobile companies is hurt. Telenor is even offering a free replacement of the SIM!

Qualifying Customers: Customers who have not done any activity since 31st May 2008 will be able to avail this campaign. To check if you are eligible for this campaign: Call IVR 2222. (charges are Rs. 1 + tax per min) or Send an SMS containing “FREE” to short code 2222 to avail the 100 free minutes and 100 free SMSs.

The 100 free minutes and 100 free SMSs will be posted to the subscriber’s account with in the next 48 hrs. Validity of Free Minutes & Free SMSs: 15 days after the free minutes and SMS have been posted to the subscriber’s account.

If the qualifying customers have lost/damaged their SIM they can get a replacement SIM free of cost from any Telenor Sales and Service Centre or Franchise during the duration of this campaign. This Offer is being launched for all prepaid packages. This is a limited time Offer.
