State of Telecom Industry in Pakistan

Have you been curious about Android platform but did not get a chance to start? Here’s a good opportunity for those in/around Lahore. Google is arranging a workshop for software developers to get them started on Android. Omar Shakil, a Google Software Engineer will be conducting the worskhop on Jan 17 at LUMS from 6-8pm. Jehanara also posted information here. Pakistani developers need to get more actively involved in the new smart platforms. There’s some cool and innovative stuff out there on smart phones and you can be part of it.

P@SHA is of course supporting the event – it is a natural for P@SHA. The session is meant to be a practical introduction to building Android applications using the SDK and developer tools. Omer Shakil will walk through the building of a non-trivial application and will use it as the basis for discussing the various facets of the Android application framework.
