PTCL – Environmental Friendly Billing System
With effect from February 2009, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has decided to introduce a new billing system for its customers.
This decision was taken to ensure that PTCL moves towards adopting environmental-friendly and customer-friendly policies in line with the government of Pakistan’s efforts which urges companies and institutions to go green.
This initiative of PTCL also coincides with the Government’s decision to celebrate 2009 as the “Environment Year”. PTCL’s decision to reduce the number of billing pages focuses on the environment-friendly initiative and moving towards introducing a paperless environment.
The previous bills, comprising multiple pages, would be replaced with this new one-page bill, condensing all the necessary billing details on a single page. This initiative of issuing a single page compact bill will help in saving 12 million papers every month used for printing bill details.
Customers can still get itemized details of their bills by visiting any customer centre of PTCL. Besides, customers can also get details of their bills by dialing 1200.PTCL is committed to providing world class telecom products and services to its valued customers, and striving to meet their expectations.

you don’t know how to behave with customers

HI IAM ALI SHAR
IAM DISABLE STUDENT MY FATHER GIVE ME A PTCL BROAD BAND OUR SDO GET MY 10000 THOUSAND BILL SO U SORRY ME 5000 THOUSAND BILL OK
MY ADRESS IS PHONE NUMBER IS0723641668
NEAR HIRA PUBLIC SCHOOL DAHARKI
it is not good atleast end user must have access to his usage that he can understand that there is fair billing, my personal experiance with ptcl that about local calls they do make some mixing and charge customers more than their usages, so i want to give one idea that ptcl can make online billing system that could be accessible by dailing a number or on screen billing that will come on screen after each call,, more than this they can manage online data base directly connected to end user to access his phone number service by giving proper authitication….
ptcl need to be fair and user friendly not cheater,,
ptcl emplyees are also not good customer serives very bad, i’d been in pakistan for couples of days and i called to get number for kuwait airways lahore the operator dealed me so badly and said wait wait…..at the end given me number for one petrol fuel station… when again i called her she said we have this in database,,i dont know how they are working these all reasons that pakistan is not doing progress. i am abroad i dont like to stay here i love my country wanna to stay there and die .
guys best of luck.
thanks

I think like SNGPL, MEPCO, PTCL being an electronic related company must provide e-bill details option at the earliest.
I agree with PTCL that 12 million papers would be saved but going green thru e-bills would also facilitate the customers.

I am using landline 4532643 since 2006. I witnessed a very poor reponse to complaint of my landline lately. Though it has been restored right now yet the isp connects at 20 to 30 kbps which is not quitepromising for a net user. Can you do something for that???
It is not necessary that every customer wants to save his PRIVACY.
But those who want to?
Cell phone bills being private are too public. Anyone can get your bill and misuse it whatever way he wants to.
You need to have information with yourself, about your calls. So, apart from paper bills they should send details on soft form to your emails; it’s you who needs the information NOT any Mr/Ms XYZ.
Paper record is good in all cases, take a print of your details ;)
Im also wid Nawaz Khan and Faried Nawaz.
It is not necessary that every customer wants to save his PRIVACY.
Sometimes a customer NEEDS that itemized detail to get a number…e.g if a dialed a number (out side PAK)…than that number was misplaced..i can check it on that itemized detail..similarly there r many REASONS for which any customer needs detailed bill.
SO, if PTCL is saving millions of papers……..so they should give that detail on the internet…so that any1 who wants to c dat, can check out by his/her acc number wid verification of residence n registered name.
Just think about it no one can see who you’re talking to. Isn’t that great? Ptcl is saving your privacy. You’re not called in the lounge in front of your dad to answer so who’s number is this that you’ve called last month 900 times. Come on guys just think about it. So cool!
I’m with Nawaz Khan. I want itemized billing for everything I’m charged for — even local calls. I don’t care if it’s available online or on paper; it’s something I should have access to.
Good one Arsalan. I found the post and the comments very interesting. Personally I have opted for paperless billing for my phone services. But I refused paperless billing for my credit card. There are somethings for which a paper record is good.
PTCL must/should provide itemised e-bill to its customer or those who want to get an itmised bill.
Customers have a right to get an itemised bill if not on paper then on PTCL’s website through a customer account number.

Let the first green bill come…then lets see what happens!
That big friendly name is used to disguise their Kanjoosi.
Its important for the Quality of Service in an organization, it won’t help much in making environment greener.
that wont work for majority of PTCL customers of rural areas!!!
they should hav opted for e-billing and offered online bill submission through a secure site to do the rest.
