Distance Learning Course: Computing For The Developing World

Next in our E-learning series, we present a video which illustrates distance learning for a class taught between UW, Microsoft, and Lahore University of Management Science in Pakistan. This news was shared by Prof. Umar Saif of LUMS.

The video below was made by Prof. Richard Anderson and his team at Univ. of Washington on distance learning course between Univ. Washington, Microsoft Research (Redmond, WA) and LUMS (Lahore) on “Computing for the Developing world”.  This video shows how Classroom Presenter technology and tablet PCs were used to enhance interaction between students across three sites. The full paper is worth reading and I will write a post about it soon.

The videos and links (low bandwidth and high bandwidth version) to the video are given below. First, the streaming video links.
