Warid Telecom to be Singtel Soon
The news was around from past few months that Singtel is to take more stakes of the Abu Dhabi Group’s Warid Telecom. Sources from Warid are now confirming that the deal is sealed and it shall be made public soon. Singtel shall take over Warid within next two weeks.
The company at present holds 30% stake at Warid Telecom. It is the Asia’s largest communication groups with operations and investments in more than 20 countries.
This will definitely be the news of the year. Being a more experienced company, it is expected it shall bring in new ways to manage and market, the two prime things which the Warid Telecom under Abu Dhabi lacked the most.
But one thing that still is uncertain. Is Abu Dhabi Group on a complete wrap-up of its telecom business in Pakistan? If so, what is the future of Wateen Telecom, a sister concern of Warid?

bashir tahir and pervez shahid are the biggest scammers of the world. they have looted the country and their children are in line to loot for the next generation. these people have taken billions of rs. from pakistan and now they want to suck the last few as well.

Wateen and warid both have been known as a family and friends network, news has emerged that Wateen shall layoff another 30% of its staff, looks like the incumbent and unsupportive banking has got wateen by the necks.
The Ceo and the Finance head are soon to be underfire by Abu Dhabi group under the allegation of overspending and some corruption links in the infrastructure at wateen which includes purchasing of gensets, site acquisitions to family members of the top management, o&m agreements and the links with Motorola and KHL owner Usman Sheikh. 300 people in the direct sales force which are trying to sell wimax at hiher rates with 95% churn ratio.
Are Pervez shahid and bashir tahir directly linked with the corruption lead by Wateen Telecom and Warid. Furthermore, shall it be the nail in the coffin for Wateens Management by Sheikh Mubarak Al Nahyan.
Now the 300 people that shall be laid off cannot be coexistent in the Industry. This is a phenomena in which one can say the big fish eat the small ones.
Dhabi management has now been able to fool another group Essar after Singtel. What a pity that Singtel is trying to get out of the deal because of the bad management and the misconducts of the B&P and party and the Essar is getting in the trap of B&P through B’s son in law who is working in Standard Chartered Bank.
What we think is that the person invovlved in the deal is from Essar side is also eyeing some kickback. Readers you can well imagine nobody can jump in a sinking boat till he has some personal interest. Most of you must be aware of the B&P kick back affairs. They are the people whoo have been jailed in the BCCI renowned case because of the corrupt attitudes.
We at the moment can do nothing more than just saying what a pity and that too Essar that after knowing of so corrupt people thay are entering a deal.

Do you know that singtel is a subsidary of tamasak group. This group already hold stake (76%) & operations of NIB Bank. This bank is in serious crises & is least beneficial for employees. It is also a two men show, shahid ali khan & nasees hassan. So, dont be very imaginative about new management. It will surely be ambitious but only for profit.

I think finally everybody is just exhausted and is not able to put any more words about this black hole.
B is the biggest goof and he is playing in the hands of few and even now B&P are not at good terms with each other. The big man
Shiekh has said goodbye to telecom moreso his shareholder friends who are near to begging beacuse of the real state conditions in Dubai so they are selling everything.
The thing which is not understandable here is why are the B&P persisting with goofs like Manocher, Kayani and Adeel who are those people who can only mismanage nothing else and B’s son the biggest customer of Starbucks as he does nothing other than playing with apple products and taking coffee.
So friends you must be now aware that it is not only B&P wothmentioning here is on of the murderer of 2 wives and court martialed from the army on charges of theft is Farrukh Hayat who has very professionally first destroyed the Ivory Coast operation by just sitting and smoking in his office and now has further more professionally brought down the ARPU of Congo from 9 USD to 5 by just sitting in his office and smoking.

Fist of all, yeah Singtel know how to grow very well but really disturbed and confused due to Typical Pakistani Management rightly said One Man show, rather Two Men(B&P);
Secondly, Singtel High officials are still refusing these rumours (i pray it would come true being an employee).
As we all are fed up from top to bottom due to very un-professional attitude of company these days. Who said Warid is not running on Friend & Family in these days……for those who are still not aware of FnF, all benefits are for FnF dear thats why with highly qualified and most experienced professionals we are are at the bottom now………..

I am totally disagree with Arsalan mir, Warid has not appoint there employees at friends and family scenario, if you are not appointed then don’t said that.
…. I don’t think so. Warid is the profitable mother venture of ADG in the region which is expanding in 3rd world markets at the moment. This could be the acquisition of additional share more likely, since the company needs serious injection of additional investment to survive and climb again.
This could be a part of global competition of Singtel & CM may be !

Thank God – atleast now Warid employees can expect more. Due to inept leadership and management, many employees are spending sleepless nights.
Hopefully, with Singtel, atleast professionalism would be introduced and maybe appointments/promotions will be made on merit instead of nepotism, and plain old bias.
Maybe Warid will finally get rid of the stigma of being a ‘Friends & Family’ company.

If the news truns up as true then it will be a good news for most of the employees as they are fastrated with Pathetic Attitude and Unprofessional Management of the Present. Believe you me.
I know that Warid is an Excellent company but the present Management have ruin and damaged its Image and performance.

there would be an increase in effiecieny of management which is directed earlier by one man show policy. i would like to add here the frustration & motivation level comparison of Warid employees who are in a game of cat & mosue ( Tom & jerry ) where Warid mangement is Tom & all employees are like Jerry.

Advertisement campaign was the first thing that came to my mind as well. These days a new face works out for attracting more subscribers, and i am sure that singtel will be successful.
By the way i have gone through few interactives sessions with Singtel management and found them quite professional and precise.
