As the growth returns and total subscribers reach 93 million plus change, one trend has emerged:  the main battle for subscriber acquisition is between Mobilink and Telenor.

As you can see in the chart above, in the month of May, Mobilink gained more than 430K subscribers (or SIMs) and Telenor added 374K. As of May end Mobilink holds about 30.9% of the total market. It will be interesting to see the shift for the rest of this year.

    Hi

Does anyone has authentic figures of how many Mobile subscribers are using Value Added Services and How much it is contributing to over all operator revenue apart from voice.

    Thanks

  2. Naila khan says:

I think that mobilink is one of the best telecommunication service provider among the telecommunication industry, due to its good quality and best promotional strategies….

    mobilink is the best

  4. Abdul Manan says:

one reason of mobilink success is the efficient management, challenging and competitive attitude, these figures r quit astonishing for me that portability or Subscription change facility is going in favor of Mobilink, though Ufone and telenor are doing their best as well,

Mobilink growth is mainly because of recent nice and clean branding of their prepaid product. Mobilink growth is also because of bringing Indigo to a consumer layer where it is portrayed as an affordable product for all. Previosuly the branding part was good but the brand was flying too high where some consumers might even feel hesitant on touching into the circle. So both are achievements.

Mobilink growth is also because of the spark-generating Value Added Services recently introduced into the market. The VAS has never been this organized and recently a family member gave me a very good feedback on the positive attitude of the team operating this function, which obviously makes a huge difference. When you ask some one how am I doing and suggest If I can improve – that actually is you have taken a golden step in making the organization part you are responisble for to move in the right direction.
