What Is Your Smart Phone Data Usage?
Out of curiosity I wanted to see if data usage on phones is going up or not. It is often assumed that smartphone users (Nokia, Blackberry and iPhone, for instance) consume lot more data than others. I use an iPhone for email, reading blogs (via rss reader) and for browsing the web when away from a PC. My data consumption averages about 200-250 MB per month. What about you?

This month(billing cycle) alone, which is not quite over yet, i have done 619.37mb of data usage. Which is manly do to internet radio, rss, and regular website browsing. I have the Blackberry Tour.
my data usage was just 38 MB………in 2.5 years!!!!!!!! :P
i hardly use Internet on my phone, because I don’t need it! :D
[...] example, iPhone users get all you can use data plan for $30 which is competitive. I recently ran a poll on data usage and its results showed that many smartphone users in Pakistan consume over 100MB data each month. [...]
Agreed Danish but if only licenses come in commercial!
…it is unfortunate that in the days of HSPA we are stuck with GPRS/EDGE…
@Tayyeb
Every mobile phone has data transfer counter…it will tell u how much data has been transferred (uplink n downlink) if u havnt reset ur settings
44% of the users indicated that they use over 100MB per month. Very interesting!
@Tayyeb – depending on the phone, there are some tools available which keep track of the usage (BB and iPhone have it built in). Not sure about Windows. Your mobile phone bill may have this info as well. Can you check?
i purchased nokia 5130 especially for data usage.but it takes atleast 6-7 Rupees to just update my status on twitter/fb. So I have to wait till i get connection from my office or till i get rich enough
I use GPRS on my windows mobile but haven’t kept any record of how much data i use. Do you have any software for data measurement?
