PTA – Online SIM Information System
The online version of 668 on PTA website to help the mobile phone users to know how many SIMs are registered on their NIC is good addition.
It takes on your NIC number and show result for how many SIMs are registered in total and also shows the operator with which they are registered. If you find any discrepancy in the data you should immediately go to your nearest CSC to get it fixed and protect unauthorized use of SIMs registered in your name. The current data in the system covers the SIM info till Jan 31st 2009. So if you just got a SIM and it does not show there, don’t panic!
This is important in current situation of the country as their could be a chance of it being used in terrorists activities.

I have expeerienced that 668 service is not working properly and that it certainly not relaible I would say. This is beacause one week ago I checked that how many SIMS are issued against my CNIC number. I very surprising noted and got the print out showing 4 TELENOR SIMS issued against my CNIC while I have none SIMS of this NETWORK. I immediately approached the Customer SErvice centre, Hyderi North Nazimabad explained them the situation, went through whole of the process, filledin the undertaking, got all the illegally issued TELENOR numbers deleted and got the copy of undertaking from the Customer Service Centre who assured me that all these number will be deleted within 24 hours which was a bigest lie as the situation ios still the same and no step to delete the pointed out illegal numbers has so far been initiated. THat’sw strange. Any way I would suggest every one to check it and get illegal numbers deleted, get a copy of undertaking to keep with you as proff of getting unwanted number withdrawn from your accounts. Thank you PTA SIM INMFORMATION SYSTEM – 668 and hope to play its effectrive role in its true spirit.

This Sim Information System is very useful for all of us Pakistanies as we can easily know about the number of sims registered in our Names and particulars.
I have only one sim in my Name i.e. Warid, but when I entered my NIC # in the PTA’s Sim Information Link there was no sim in my name. I had visited Warid Franchise to confirm that the sim is in my name, they told me that it is in my name. Kindly, check or upgrade your system and inform me about the progress related to my case.

I have only one sim i.e. 0301-7760801 which is I also convered in Ufone via MNP but When I chek first time on 668 there was 4 sims of mobilink in my name then I vist the frenchaise and applied blocking other sims. After 6 days when I chek again on 668 there is 2 sims of mobilink further that I send my old nic No. on 668. there is 1 sime of moblink. Please block other sims exept 0301-7760801.

Please ask all mobile compnies to provide the information about the No. because we applied for blocking but some compies not give any recipt of reciving application. If we have the No. we came chek No. and can block through Call Center.

how astonshing to know that 57 sims are registered to my CNIC but i have only 2 sims of mobilink. i ask why the phone operator misuse my CNIC. now no one is paying attention to my request for blocking the sims.

sir i would like to suggest u,launch a siple process for blocking of unregistered/unknown sims,which should be a simple code or id card number or any other simple procedure,which should be available to the users on their cell phones,because many of users themselves r not able to go to the centers for disowning da sims.by means of it,there r 2 advantages,
1-users’s time will b saved and they would not suffer in trouble
2-an instant blocking of unknown/unregistered sims will come into existence

i need to confirm that i had 3 telenor sims registered i paid the visit to CSC and got the application launched. after 2 days had follow up visit and got the confirmation that 3 numbers are been blocked. now i m visiting PTA 668 site the result is as before. is PTA 668 service having real time data or it updates periodically.

That happend with me to …. 13 was the count ( of a single mobile operator ) and it was eye opening , why on world would i register 13 sim , day back i found out that PTA database is not persistent and we need to contact the franchise(s) for the information
