TelecomPK – Our Pledge For Pakistan
We write this on the 10th of August today, 4 days away from the 63rd Independence Day of our country, Pakistan. Our country has yet again been hit with a natural calamity. This time is the worst in its history. The recent rains and following floods have severely affected life in various parts of Pakistan. The disaster is very immense, hundreds of thousands of people are displaced and still many missing with casualties increasing daily. Numerous cities and various remote areas of our homeland are completely drowned in water.
The United Nation terms this as the worse of all the recent natural calamities; meaning that the disaster is BIGGER than the combined effect of Haiti Quake, Kashmir Quake and the Tsunami.
While we convey this message, the infrastructure of the flood affected areas remains to be getting damaged with reports of causalities crossing the 2000 mark and displaced reaching to over 13 million. More heavy rains are predicted to hit the already affected areas in coming days.
It is time now to stand up and respond to call of humanity, help the internally displaced people (IDPs).
TelecomPK pledges all funds received from advertisements on this blog for the relief of those affected by the flood. It is easy for you to be part of the noble cause. Just read and support the blog. Remember, every rupee counts.
