PTA – Quality of Service and Public Feedback
PTA has posted a draft of its quality of service regulation document on its website. The document asks the public to review the plan and to provide comments and suggestions. The document includes sections on key performance indicators. The reality is that the document is so technical that its geared towards telecom/technology professionals. There is no attempt to make it easy to understand for the public, which is he most important stakeholder here. Take a look yourself and let us know what you think.
Compare that with this service called RootMetrics which presents voice signal and data quality based on your location. We like this concept. However this kind of service depends on users as well. You download their app and help them with data collection in your locale. Of course, this approach has its own limitations and won’t work in many countries where mobile data is not common or cheap.
