Mobilink – Left You Alone On Sunday, Normal Now [Updated]

Sunday, March 6th turned to be a bad day for Mobilink and its subscribers particularly in Northern region. Reason that came across was fire that broke out in the Islamabad I-10 MSC (Mobile Switching Center).

Both prepaid and postpaid subscribers in the North suffered from GSM Network outage/congestion for almost 12 hours which got restored to normal early morning today. GPRS and EDGE was also down during the course of time.

User and analysts have discussed about Mobilink’s disturbed Sunday at various platforms.

TGP members thread can be followed here. Member Ashraf Choudhry expressed:

So, MOBILINK now truly comes as May Be Link. I was surprised that heart of the core Network has been under fire and there has no preventive measures on critical place.
Culprits should be fired.
Don’t think so that the image of Mobilink shall back, all of my Friends and families using Mobilink since 7 years and now we are seriously thinking to port with some other operator.

Similar discussions took place on twitter also. Some humorous tweets were:

@tariqmustafa: Mobilink takes ‘Hamain apni Aag dikhani hai‘ to a whole new level #suchjazba #wc2011 #Isb-MSC #fire
@TheBuGz: Which is the hottest Mobile Connection in Pakistan? #Mobilink! It’s always on fire.

The service is now observed to be normal with a few glitches for EDGE/GPRS users.

This is the time when the real loyal people stand out. Last night when there was no connectivity and yet I was not willing to switch to any network and patiently waited for the services to get back up, I realized what a strong bond I had made with Mobilink over the last 6 years. I am never letting you go Mobilink. I am so glad that I can make calls from my number again!

  15. Sameer says:

Wesay mind na kerna Arsalan bhai but aap ki post bohat he ziada negative hai…Kaheen say neutral khabar nahi lagti.

Haan Mobilink ka connection down hua poora sunday and hum bhi un mein say thay jinka raabta muntaka tha per phir bhi hum kya hamari poori family or dost bhi jazz kay sath hain ab bhi.

Hamara damagh khrab nai hai keh aik haadsay ki waja se jo khair say kisi key sath bhi ho sakta hai hum jaahilon ki terhan apna 5 saal purana connection chor dain..

Me, my friends and my family, we will always keep Mobilink connection.

As a ufone customer, i offer my sympathies to Mobilink for its loss. This could have happened to any company and we should be happy to hear that MObilink had resources to get the network running so quickly.

I am Infinity user i was also facing no connectivty issue from the Service provider since sunday afternoon, and no body was picking the help line. i tries multiple times but no answer from them. Same issue was faced by my frnds as well who are also INFINTY user….
i think this might have some connectivity with the issue mentioned above.
