Global Media Launch Event of Nokia Mobile Phones To Be Held in Pakistan
Update: The event was held in Karachi on May 15, 2012 and two devices, Nokia 110 & Nokia 112 were released.
Mobile phone manufacturers across the world usually launch new cell phones in Europe or America but Nokia has taken a bold step as it is organizing a global launch in Pakistan which is the first time such an event is happening in Pakistan. The decision not only reflects how much weight Nokia gives to the Pakistani market but will also serve to improve the image of our country as geeks and reporters across the world will be closely monitoring the event.
It can be speculated that Nokia will be launching low end devices which will most likely be cheaper than Asha Series as Nokia is focusing on mass market phones which are feature rich and affordable at the same time. The new Nokia devices will be optimized for the internet while supporting a stylish design that will cater to variety of lifestyles. Having internet on affordable devices will open new horizons for the mass market in Pakistan and help users realize their dreams.
The media launch event will take place on 15th May 2012 at The Marquee, Marriott Hotel, Karachi from 12pm onwards. Global and regional spokesperson from Nokia will be present to share their thoughts on emerging markets and the new devices.
