Independence Day: Cellphone Services Blocked in Baluchistan
As learned from Dawn News report, cellphone service have been blocked in provincial capital Quetta and its surroundings since morning. The block comes in effect on instructions of the Baluchistan Government in order to curb the law and order situation in the province on Independence Day.
According to security sources the cellphone services had been blocked keeping in view the law and order situation of the province, as it cuts off the communication capabilities of miscreants and terrorists.
Citizens of Quetta and surrounding areas are reported to be facing hard time due to the block on mobile communication services.
Update @ 12:20 Aug 15: Cellular services have resumed in Baluchistan.
