Microsoft Unveils New Logo

2012 seems to be the year of bold decisions and new directions from Microsoft. This year marks the release of Windows 8, Windows Phone 8 (yet to be released), Xbox services, new version of Office, re-branding of Hotmail to Outlook.com and now a brand new logo for the tech giant.

Microsoft has decided to forego its previous logo after 25 years, so Microsoft branding team feels that the silver jubilee is the right time to revamp the logo. The new logo has an aura of Windows 8 UI with four squares in red, yellow, blue and green squares forming a larger square together.

Microsoft’s website sports the new logo after the change but Microsoft Pakistan, interestingly, seems to be unaware of the change and is still displaying the old logo.
