Plan9 – Pakistan’s First National Level Technology Incubator
Calling it the place where idea’s take flight, PLAN9 is Pakistan’s first national level technology incubator and a project of the Government of Punjab undertaken to promote and nurture a culture of entrepreneurship.
The project that takes its name from the OS of 80s designed by the Bell Labs (now AT&T) is launched by Punjab IT Board in collaboration with PASHA. The initiative will start a nation-wide talent hunt, with Launchpads conducted across Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad to find and incubate the bright minds. The Incubator would be housed at purpose built facility of Arfa Software Technology Park and is set to kick-off on August 31, 2012. Interested entrepreneurs will be invited to send their entries online and all applicants have to be Pakistanis and above the age of 18.
