NEC Medias X, World’s First Liquid Cooled Smartphone

Like the HTC Rhyme, NEC Medias X is another phone designed for women. NEC Medias X is powered by a Quadcore Snapdragon 600 processor, has a 4.7″ 720p display with a 13.1MP Exmor RS camera. It also runs the latest version of Android i.e. Android 4.2 Jellybean. The interesting thing about the NEC Medias X is that, it is the world’s first smartphone to have a liquid cooling system. How does the liquid cooling system work? A liquid carrying tube goes from the processor to the graphite radiator which is just besides the system board where the heat is dispersed. For all tech savvy people, the liquid cooling system diagram is given below.

We still wonder, although the smartphone specs don’t really shout heat-up than what could the liquid cooling system be for? On the other hand, NEC says that the smartphone operates a lot more cooler than other devices.
