Jazz Super 4G WiFi Cloud Review

With an increase in use of smartphones, internet connectivity has become a necessity in this era. Wherever we go, the first thing we ask for is the Wifi password. Our work, school and leisure related activities demand seamless internet connectivity no matter where we are. Struggle for finding a reliable yet fast internet connection is something all of us can relate to. A few days back I had to go from Lahore to Islamabad and then Haripur followed by a few other cities. I found there would be a signal problem on my mobile network and my 4G USB device wont be of any use there due to non-coverage.

It was in such dire circumstances that I got a Jazz Super 4G WiFi device. Jazz Super 4G works just like any other cloud device, costs PKR 3000 and has the following salient features:

  • Speed up to 150 Mbps
  • 2300 mAh battery
  • Up to 12 simultaneous Wifi connections
  • Supports MicroSD card up to 32 GB
  • Smartphone app for easy management

Here is a snapshot after unpacking brand new Jazz Super 4G device.

Now lets take a look on its performance during the first fortnight.

I tested the device in Hattar (KPK), its performance was quite impressive. I used SpeedTest app on my iPhone to test the speed and it reported a download speed of 47.6 Mbps while the upload speed was 31 Mbps. This speed was not only enough for browsing, but made my time easier during my visit to KPK as I seamlessly streamed Netflix and watched live streaming of football matches without any lag. Throughout our stay Jazz Super 4G had stable internet connectivity and great signal strength except when we moved out of Hattar City, however, the speed usually got restored when we reached a nearby city.

The fact that Jazz Super 4G supports connectivity for up to 12 devices simultaneously made it easier for me and my team mates to connect all our devices on the go.

Battery Timing

Jazz Super 4G device has a 2300 mAh battery. This is my favourite feature of Jazz Super 4G device. No other 4G device has such a big battery loaded. It lasts for 7 to 8 hours and it takes approximately 2.5 hours to fully charge it. Its great battery timing makes it more portable and reliable.

LED Indicators

Jazz Super 4G Device has 5 LED indicators on its front. Network, Data, WiFi & WPS indicators are on top and a battery level indicator is placed on power button. Battery indicator LED is green when the battery charging is more than 20% and it turns red when battery is below 20%. In my opinion, there should have been more than two slabs of battery level to help the user. However, one can always use Jazz Wifi App to gauge the battery status.

Jazz allows users to carry forward residual data for MBB device in contrast from other networks which makes its packages flexible and attractive. You can subscribe one of these 3 bundles in Jazz Super 4G device.

15GB   –  (5GB extra vs competition)    For PKR 999/-

36GB  –  (12GB extra vs competition)   For PKR 1,500/-

75GB  –  (10Gb extra vs competition)    For PKR 2,500/-

Managing Jazz Super 4G

You can manage your device via Jazz WiFi app. This app is available for both Android and iPhone users. Link of both can be found at bottom of the post. Jazz WiFi app also enables you to access memory card, as already stated Jazz Super 4G device supports memory card up to 32GB.
